AZ Driver Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Responsibilities Operate a truck safely and professionally at all times, especially in downtown Toronto. Deliver products to customers on time while providing complete customer service. Transfer materials and items from truck to dock area or other designated area by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, or manual pallet jack. Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, returns, etc. Maintain logs daily and comply with all other provincial transportation procedures and regulations. Conduct pretrip and posttrip truck inspections of tractor and trailer units in compliance with provincial regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Shift schedule: MonFri 6 am 2:30 pm. Pay rate: $29/hr. Overtime will be required. Requirements Must hold a valid Class AZ drivers license and provide a drivers abstract. High School diploma or equivalent. Preferably 3 years experience in commercial transportation or a graduate of an accredited truck driving school. Must be able to load and unload products, often requiring manual handling and the use of equipment like pallet jacks. Possess knowledge of all applicable provincial transportation regulations. Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests (GPS) and invoices. Plan and organize effectively; clear communication is a must. Must be customer service orientated and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Problem solver with the ability to multitask using judgement and decision making skills.
