With a history of award-winning projects, this organization is a leader in its field and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of their dynamic team.Position OverviewAs Health & Safety Officer you will play a key role in ensuring that Health & Safety policies and procedures are following allowing for a safe work environment for all employees.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing safety training and guidance to all employeesEnsure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirementsEnsure vehicles, equipment, and materials are used according to the relevant standardsAudit worksites to maintain safety standardsInvestigate workplace incidents and accidentsEnsure accidents and injuries are reported on timeAssist with WSIB claims and related documentationFollow and enforce client safety proceduresIdentify potential hazards early and take corrective actionRecommend improvements to safety tracking and reporting processesSupport the development and implementation of safety policies and programsContribute to project management teams from a safety perspectiveQualificationsExperience withing the construction industry is essential.Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is preferredCommon Core training would be advantageous5+ years of experience in a similar role.Ability to work on weekends or outside of normal working hours when requiredAbility to travel between various sites.Whats in It for You?Base Salary: $80 $90KHealthcare benefits from day 1RRSP matchingVacation: 3 weeksDont miss this opportunity to join a leading company in the construction industry.APPLY NOW!
