THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Temporary Maintenance Manager to join The Gardens team in Qualicum Beach, B.C. Shifts Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Sometimes on call (emergency) so preferably to live close by. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in building or facility maintenance. Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores Must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team member DUTIES Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily. Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.
