We invite applications for the temporary position of: 0.50 FTE Grades K-12 Online Learning Support TeacherWeek 1 (20 days): July 13-17, 27-31, Aug 10-14, 24-28Subject to enrollment.Summer NIDES staff will work in teaching-teams.This position requires on-site attendance at NIDES for all assigned days.An alternating week position can only be filled if the complementary week can also be filled.Summer positions can be combined so an applicant can accept a week 1 & week 2 position.Learning Support teachers work with students with low incidence challenges, behavioural/mental health issues and learning disabilities. They play an active role in the identification and assessment of students. They provide support to classroom teachers to facilitate the inclusion of students in the regular classroom, assist classroom teachers with the development of I.E.P.s and collaborate with classroom teachers to design or implement instructional strategies or to adapt/modify instructional content or materials.
