Position #: Expected Start Date: March 23, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Primary Health Care Services City/Town: Regina Department: Kids First - Child Care Administration Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 01, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Stats Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Speech Language Pathologist - Masters $43.309 to $52.958 Travel Required: Yes Job Description:Within a multidisciplinary team provides professional leadership as a speech and language pathologist in the development and process of clinical consultative services with the Kids First Program and the children and families they serve. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Licenses Licensed or eligible for licensure with Saskatchewan Association of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Experience Clinical experience in a child community setting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge: Knowledge of infant and preschool development Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders Knowledge of models of assessment and therapeutic interventions appropriate for the treatment of children''s speech and language diagnoses and the inter-related emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, socialization and behavioral problems with at risk populations Knowledge of aboriginal culture, values and traditions and their impact on accessing formal/mental health services Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, the Family Services Act and the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Knowledge of community resources Skills: Superior interpersonal skills Strong organization and prioritization skills Uses critical analysis, reflective practice and assessment skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and analytical skills Demonstrated skill in mentoring, training and supervising speech and language pathologists and related disciplines Abilities: Ability to assess and provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to the treatment of children''s speech and language disorders/delays within the context of other mental health disorders and family functioning and demonstrated skill in conducting and monitoring individual, family and group treatment programs Leadership abilities to develop and maintain consulting relationships within a multidisciplinary team, interagency programs and across the community of human services Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and independently to manage complex and multiple demands Ability to design, conduct and evaluate educational and training opportunities related to speech and language disorders in preschool children to various targeted audiences Ability to be self-directed and exercise independent decision-making in a community based environment Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing system Ability to motivate clients Ability to work under stress Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement Ability to work independently and as a team member Ability and willingness to travel, work evenings/weekends as required and maintain a valid drivers'' license Other Information Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
