Job Description

Role Description The Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. As a Designer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our brand promise to life, delivering exceptional product quality, great fits, on-trend designs, and on-time execution at the right price. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of creativity, technical garment knowledge, and proven leadership, with the organizational discipline to uphold company standards and meet critical deadlines. Responsibilities Collaborate with the CEO, Creative Director, and Product Team to develop brand-appropriate designs that uphold our brand promise: Fit, Quality, Delivery, and Price. Design across all product types: woven, cut & sew knits, and fully fashioned. Translate market trends and customer insights into designs that align with our brand vision and growth strategy. Prepare and present seasonal design presentations from concept to approval, covering trend research, fit intent, pricing, and merchandising for all monthly drops. Analyze sales reports, trend research, and commodity overviews to validate design direction and viability. Lead the full design lifecycle including material and trim sourcing, color and graphic development, sketches, technical drawings, spec packages, sample fittings, and final product review. Develop and maintain accurate sketches, sewing sheets, and spec packages. Partner with internal teams and vendors to execute product vision with precision, upholding design aesthetic, fit, construction quality, and all critical deadlines. Maintain organized digital files, sample library, and reference materials. Mentor and develop Junior Designers through coaching and hands-on guidance. Continuously improve design processes, develop solutions, and foster clear communication across the team. Qualifications A bachelor''s degree in Fashion Design, with 5+ years as a Designer for women''s apparel. Demonstrated operational leadership experience within a team Proven experience working with offshore vendors Extensive experience of apparel products with hands on working knowledge of development, fabrication, construction, pattern making, sourcing, & color Proven ability to prioritize design deadlines and planning Advanced computer skills, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Excel and MS Outlook Strong knowledge and understanding of womenswear trends and the fashion apparel industry Advanced sketching ability: garment flats, floats, and construction details in Illustrator Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern construction, fitting, & costing, in Woven, Knits & Sweaters Proven ability to multitask and thrives within an ever-changing environment
