Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are currently supporting a reputable and growing aviation MRO organisation with the appointment of a Director of MRO Operations. Director of MRO Operations | Canada Aviation Maintenance | Senior Leadership | Permanent A well-established international aviation organisation is seeking a Director of MRO Operations to lead production execution and people leadership across its maintenance operation. This is a senior operational role , focused on predictable delivery, operational discipline, and leadership development across a complex MRO environment. This position is not a regulatory post-holder role . The Role Reporting into senior operations leadership, you will be accountable for the day-to-day performance of MRO production , driving efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery while building strong, accountable leadership teams. You will be highly visible on the hangar floor and act as a key connector between operations, planning, supply chain, quality, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead daily MRO production operations across maintenance activities Drive operational performance metrics including schedule adherence, labour efficiency, and throughput Establish and maintain operating rhythms, cadence reviews, and performance standards Act as a visible, engaged leader within the operation Uphold safety, quality, and operational discipline at all times Lead, coach, and develop Program Managers, Project Managers, and Crew Chiefs Build leadership capability with a strong focus on accountability and results Proactively address performance issues while supporting employee development Partner cross-functionally to remove operational constraints Identify risks early and lead recovery or mitigation plans Support initiatives to improve efficiency, delivery, and customer experience Experience & Background Minimum 5 years senior leadership experience within MRO operations, heavy maintenance, or a comparable aviation maintenance environment Proven experience leading leaders and frontline operational teams Strong execution mindset with the ability to drive measurable performance Experience operating within a regulated aviation environment (e.g. Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, or equivalent) Demonstrated strength in coaching, accountability, and handling difficult conversations Qualifications Post-secondary education in aviation, engineering, business, or a related discipline (preferred) Strong analytical and operational problem-solving capability Confident communicator with influence across functions and seniority levels Whats on Offer Permanent, senior leadership position Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits and pension plan Opportunity to influence and shape a high-performing MRO operation Supportive, people-focused culture with long-term career progression Eligibility: Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
