Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves managing your own vehicle to transport freight in the BC to Alberta Lane. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to operate various machinery necessary for freight handling. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight over long and short distances. Manage all aspects of freight loading and unloading, including the operation of forklifts and other lifting equipment when necessary. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate repairs as needed to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant documentation. Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including safety protocols and hours-of-service rules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is highly desirable. Background in freight handling, logistics, or transportation operations is advantageous. Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor issues on the road is a plus. Prior experience as an Owner Operator or independent contractor in the transportation industry is preferred.
