We have openings for Journeyperson and apprentice opportunities. Looking to start or continue with the electrical industry this is the right path for you. Duties: - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems - Learn to read and interpret drawings - Assist with the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment - Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs - Follow safety protocols and adhere to all electrical codes and regulations - Organize material and equipment required for the projects -Working with new and existing services, repairs and upgrades - Low-Voltage, lighting and branch circuits - Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues Qualifications: - Ability to problem solve, make decisions and use critical thinking skills - Strong interest in the electrical field and a desire to continue learning - Ability to work well alone and in a team environment - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components - Good communication skills and attention to detail, verbally and written in English Credentials (Certificates, Licences, Memberships, Courses, Etc.): - 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice - Electrical Trade Certification (Journeyperson) - High school diploma or equivalent - Driver''s License (Valid) - Criminal Record clearance check (when required) - Own your own cell phone - Supply your own tools, steel-toes safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: - Fast-Paced environment - Handling Heavy Loads - Physically Demanding - Indoor and outdoor environments may also work with heights and confined spaces - Residential, Commercial, Industrial environment Benefits: - Medical Benefits - Dental Benefits - Vision Care - RRSP, TFSA Matching Schedule: - Monday to Friday - 8 hour shifts - 10 hour shifts - Full-time, permanent - Ability at times for overtime Apprentice wages are proportionate wages dependent upon their apprentice level and trade time hours.
