Turn that into a flexible, part-time position, with no investment, just opportunity In Home Sales Consultant - Window Covering HD Decorating Position Summary As a Dcor Consultant representing the leading retailer in home improvementyou''ll provide in-home consultations to help customers select custom window coverings. This commissioned sales role focuses on delivering personalized design solutions from qualified leads while providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-home consultations to assess customer needs and recommend suitable products and services. Present, quote, and sell blinds, shades, shutters and drapery, ensuring order accuracy. Close at least 50% of assigned sales leads while consistently exceeding sales targets. Manage all leads within company standards using lead management and order-entry software. Follow up with all customers to ensure a superior service experience. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge seminars. Stay informed on new products, trends, and competitive offerings. Collaborate with store associates, installers, vendors, and HD Decorating management team to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Maintain a high level of professionalism, customer satisfaction, and ''recommendation of service'' ratings. External Relationships Build strong, respectful working relationships with store associates, and department manager. Maintain close communication with assigned installers, and your regional manager to ensure quality and accuracy. Foster partnerships with vendor representatives. Remuneration This is a commission-based role. Selling Tools Provided Business cards, contracts, brochures, and POP materials Product samples, pricing materials, and training Access to Home Depot marketing and advertising campaigns Home Depot ID badge, in-store signage, and displays Home Depot credit card financing options to assist in closing sales Key Qualifications High school diploma (post-secondary education in design or dcor is an asset) Decorating or design experience preferred; professional accreditation or membership is an advantage Minimum 1 year of sales experience, ideally in direct, in-home, or commission-based sales Strong customer service and presentation skills Proficient in computers and communication tools (Internet, MS Office, email) Professional demeanor with up-to-date knowledge of design trends Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently with excellent time management Passionate, goal-oriented, and results-driven Quick learner with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills Must successfully pass a criminal background check Must have reliable vehicle Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $15,000.00-$40,000.00 per year Benefits: Company events Flexible schedule Experience: Sales: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: Drivers License and a reliable vehicle?
