THE ROLE The Recreation Inclusion Support Facilitator plays an important role by providing quality leisure programmes, services and facilities to military members and their families. You will promote and encourage people who require inclusion support to participate in a wide variety of activities throughout our communities. You will facilitate participation of people of varying abilities in the community activities of their choice. Patience, a passion for helping people and a strong sense of teamwork are essential attributes. You will assist with the development, planning and implementation of inclusive recreational activities for children with inclusion needs, and assist with personal care and health needs in a variety of settings including playgrounds, gyms, pools, washrooms, lunch and field trips. RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate participation of individuals with varying abilities in community recreational activities. Assist with planning, organising and delivering inclusive recreational activities. Provide personal care assistance and health support as needed. Integrate participants into recreational programmes using assistive technology and resolving accessibility issues. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies and legislation.
