Opportunity Our BDO Canada offices are looking for an Insolvency Counsellor. The successful candidate will join the Personal Debt Solutions team inoffice and own the following responsibilities: Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and virtually, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals Perform BIA counselling covering topics including budgeting & credit rebuilding Review files/documents for review with client to ensure compliance with duties under their insolvency filing Community outreach, business development and presentations Success Criteria You demonstrate BDO''''s core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration You understand your clients industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality work You identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to your clients You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace You grow your expertise through learning and professional development Your Experience And Education Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling Two or more years of relevant work experience in an Insolvency or Credit Counseling or other relevant areas Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations Strong attention to detail in a fastpaced environment Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel Excellent time management and organizational skills A team player who can also work independently Why BDO?
