Job Summary As a Product Engineer I , youwill join a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable Engineers in helping with engineering, design, product, and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with Design, Operations, Production, and Field installation and service stakeholders to carry out product and process improvement projects with the aim of increasing process efficiency. You will work closely with many engineering disciplines to find and implement opportunities for operational improvement. Job Duties Use problemsolving and critical thinking skills, as well as knowledge of Engineering Principles and other Physical Sciences, to meet challenges with well thought plans, direct actions, and thorough review afterwards Support Engineering and Design needs for new and newtoplant product commissioning for production Take ownership of assigned sustaining initiatives, including cost reduction, function and aesthetic improvements, and documentation creation and refinement Support Design staff through the execution of product design changes and complete documentation yourself when capacity allows Support the company''''s ERP implementation through Product Data Definition and entry Perform design calculations and preparation of equipment and material specifications. Perform other jobrelated duties and special projects asrequired Comply withall applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies Any other duties as assigned by the Sustaining Engineering Manager or Senior Executive team Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineeringfroman Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)accredited program. 2 years of relevant design experience in one or more of the following areas: materials science, mechanical/electrical, machine design, and/or fluid dynamics. Proficient in Computer Aided Design, SolidWorks preferred Demonstrated ability to beaccurateand consistent with details. Strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills. Adept at succeeding in a fastpaced environment. Customerfocused attitude. Ability to work in a team environment. Electrical design experience is a plus. Proficient Technical Writing capabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills.
