Responsibilities PRIMARY PURPOSE The Senior HR Data Analyst provides advanced analysis and strategic insights to support HR decisionmaking at BCRTC. This role leads complex projects involving workforce analytics, people metrics, position management, headcount reporting, predictive analytics, and HR process optimization. It partners with HR leadership and business stakeholders to design datadriven solutions, improve reporting frameworks, and ensure compliance with organizational requirements. The role designs and develops dashboards and executive presentations. The Senior HR Data Analyst contributes to the development of HR analytics capabilities across BCRTC. Key Accountabilities Analyzes workforce trends, interpreting data to highlight key patterns and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership. Partners with the BCRTC Analytics & Insights team to enhance HR dashboards by recommending relevant workforce metrics, ensuring data integrity, and providing insights that support strategic workforce planning and organizational goals. Partners with HRBPs, business leaders, and the BCRTC Analytics & Insights team to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in reporting and analytics. Manages complex data projects, including predictive modeling and scenario analysis for workforce planning. Leads the development, maintenance, and governance of position management processes and headcount reporting frameworks, ensuring accurate organizational structures, timely workforce data, and actionable insights to support strategic planning and compliance. Partners with the BCRTC Analytics & Insights team to develop a data governance framework for HR datamapping and specification tables. Audits, monitors and maintains data integrity by creating standards, processes and controls over how data elements are set up, used, revised and maintained across HR systems. Provides guidance to other team members on best practices in maintaining data and reports. Ensures HR data readiness for the HR Digital Transformation project and converts historical data to the new system format. Develops and maintains procedural documentation for reporting for reference, training and support purposes. Ensures timely and accurate submission of HR data and executive presentations to meet both BCRTC and TL compliance standards. Maintains awareness of emerging HR technologies and analytics trends, and recommends enhancements to tools and processes. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: The requirements for this position would be acquired through successful completion of a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Data Analytics, or other relevant discipline plus five (5) years of experience in data management, HR analytics, or workforce planning within a large, complex unionized environment. Other Requirements Strong understanding of HR best practices, position management, and workforce planning methodologies. Advanced knowledge of HR systems functionalities including query and reporting tools. Solid knowledge in data modeling, predictive analytics, and statistical analysis. Experience in designing reports and dashboards. High proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools. Excellent problemsolving, critical thinking, and decisionmaking skills to identify trends, determine the optimum approach, and provide recommendations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to provide insight to senior leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex projects independently. Other Information Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions. Work Schedule 37.5 hours per week. Work Designation Resident. This position works predominately onsite. Rate of Pay The salary for this position ranges from $84,480 - $126,720 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
