THE ROLE The Recreation and Inclusion Support Facilitator plays an important role, providing quality leisure programmes, services and facilities to our military members and their families. The role involves facilitating participation of people of varying abilities in the community activities of their choice, assisting with the development, planning and implementation of inclusive recreational activities for children with inclusion needs, and assisting with personal care and health needs in a variety of settings. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification Current High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification NonViolent Crisis Intervention training, an asset Experience Planning and organising recreational and sports activities/programs for children and youth Working with children and youth Leading, supporting and delivering activities for children with inclusion needs Using alternate communication methods Applying safety protocols and procedures Working with children with behavioural disorders Applying policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation Competencies, Skills And Abilities Client focus, organisational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a collaborative team environment, ability to adapt to change. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of 29June2026 and end date of 28August2026. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programmes to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment. START DATE The anticipated term of this position is 29June2026 to 28August2026.
