As a vital member of the Architectural Interiors Product Development Team , the Project Manager will guide crossfunctional teams (Sales, Industrial Design, Design Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing etc.) through the conceptualization, design and manufacturing of new custom products. The ideal candidate exhibits a balance of excellent organizational skills, with refined interpersonal communication skills. The Project Manager will manage through relationships and influence; and communicate well at all levels. What you Bring to the Team Professional Experience Project Management Expertise: 35 years of proven experience in a relevant industry (Project Management role), with a PMI certification considered a valuable asset. Industry Knowledge: Experience within the construction, architectural interiors, or furniture industries, including a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and materials associated with commercial products. Product Lifecycle Success: A successful track record in new product development and market introduction, as well as leading existing product improvements through to implementation. Strategic ProblemSolving: Strong ability to identify issues and communicate concise action plans while keeping the overall strategic mission in sight. CrossFunctional Leadership: Experienced in leading diverse teams, facilitating an open work environment, and demonstrating excellence in conflict management and resolution. Communication & Influence: Superior client interaction skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision while managing multiple projects and multitasking. Core Attributes: An enthusiastic, creative, and flexible leader who is an openminded listener and demonstrates high levels of perseverance. Technical & Educational Background Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering ; a Eng. designation is preferred. Process Mastery: Deep knowledge of product design and development processes within a manufacturing organization. Technical Toolkit: Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe, Smartsheet, and CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) , along with cloudbased data management and workflow tools (Box, Google Drive, etc.). The Role Youll Play Lead new product development process from initial design concepts to production implementation. Ensure project deliverables are met as scheduled , ensuring that all supporting departments understand their responsibilities and the required timeframes associated with their deliverables. Actively identify and support key project deliverables , coordinate and participate in major project events: Mockups, Prototype Build and Pilot Builds as required. Planning & Structure Plan, communicate, maintain and optimize the project structure: Ensure Project Scope & Objectives are identified, documented and followed. Develop Project Timeline, identifying milestones, deliverables and track progress. Ensure appropriate resource assignment. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Identify Project Risks; analyze the problem, consolidate options and communicate clearly within the project team to enable decision making and develop contingencies plans as required. Monitor and report on the status of the project plan and objectives (i.e. schedule, budget, and resources) to the team and executive sponsors; identify and elevate significant project decisions or deviations. Facilitate communication within the development team and relevant stakeholders: Ensure meetings are efficient, with actions and decisions clearly documented, communicated and closed. Encourage collaboration and teamwork between functional representatives. Continuously improve custom product development process through: Maintaining engagement and communication across all teams to enable synergistic learning and collaboration. Final base salary offers will reflect an assessment of the selected candidate''''s skills, demonstrated competencies, and adherence to our internal pay equity framework.
