Role Summary: The MAS Mobile Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and deploying mobile solutions within the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) ecosystem. This role focuses on building and enhancing MAS Mobile applications to support field work management, inspections, asset data capture, and workflow execution. The developer collaborates closely with technical architects, functional analysts, and business users to deliver highquality mobile capabilities aligned to enterprise asset management (EAM) processes. Key Responsibilities Application Development & Configuration Develop and customize MAS Mobile applications using IBM Maximos mobile frameworks and tools. Configure mobile workflows, UI components, offline capabilities, and rolebased mobile experiences. Extend MAS Mobile through automation scripts, custom Java/REST integrations, and domain configuration. Integration & Data Enablement Build and manage integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) including Object Structures, Publish Channels, Enterprise Services, and REST APIs. Ensure mobile solutions reliably synchronize assets, work, inventory, and inspection data between devices and MAS environments. Environment & Technical Support Work with technical architects to ensure MAS Mobile solutions are compatible across MAS 8.x/9.x environments. Troubleshoot mobile performance, connectivity, and synchronization issues across connected and offline modes. Testing & Deployment Develop system test scenarios, user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, and support execution cycles. Assist with deployments, upgrades, data migration preparation, and cutover readiness for MAS Mobile components. Collaboration & Delivery Partners with crossfunctional teams including EAM functional consultants, integration developers, product owners, and business SMEs. Participate in project meetings, design sessions, technical reviews, and release planning activities. Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and support guides. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 25 years of experience with IBM Maximo development, ideally including MAS 8.x/9.x. Handson experience with MAS Mobile, Maximo Mobile, or legacy Maximo Anywhere. Strong skills in: Maximo configuration (Application Designer, Domains, Database Configuration) MIF integrations Automation Scripts (Python, JavaScript) REST/JSON interfaces Understanding of EAM processes such as approve work order, work order execution, equipment inspections, creating a service request, receiving in Maximo Mobile inventory and asset data capture. Experience supporting testing, troubleshooting, and production deployments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on MAS upgrades, cloud deployments (Azure/AWS), or multienvironment DevOps pipelines. Knowledge of mobile UX patterns and mobile application performance optimization. Familiarity with SQL (DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL), containerized environments, or IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
