They offer a supportive team environment with clear opportunities for long-term growth.Position Summary:We are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Project Manager to join our clients team on a major institutional project in Vancouver Downtown.This role is best suited for a Project Manager with experience delivering institutional, commercial, or high-rise mechanical projects, and who is comfortable leading projects from planning through completion.Reporting to senior leadership, the Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination, scheduling, financial management, and successful delivery of assigned projects.Key Responsibilities:Project LeadershipLead assigned projects from start to completionEstablish project expectations and communicate goals to project teamsCoordinate with field leadership to ensure successful project executionProvide direction to Project Coordinators as requiredProject Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain project schedules, including critical path activitiesEnsure project milestones and deadlines are achievedMaintain project documentation and reporting systemsAssist with design coordination when requiredClient & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholdersBuild strong working relationships with project teams and clientsAttend project meetings as requiredCoordinate project changes and site instructionsTechnical CoordinationReview and approve shop drawings and RFIsCoordinate drawing revisions and project documentationAssist with QA/QC and commissioning processesCoordinate O&M manuals and project closeout documentationProcurement & LogisticsProcure equipment, materials, and sub-tradesCoordinate major equipment deliveries and site logisticsManage sub-trades to ensure compliance with project scope and scheduleFinancial ManagementManage project budgets and job costingProduce monthly progress drawsMonitor financial performance and report to managementSubmit quotations for changes and extra workHealth & SafetyWork with field leadership to implement project-specific safety plansMaintain compliance with company safety standardsQualifications:810 years of experience in the Sheet Metal or Mechanical industryPrevious experience managing institutional or high-rise projectsStrong understanding of mechanical and sheet metal drawingsExperience with Bluebeam, Procore, Revizto, AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeRevit experience is considered an assetFamiliarity with Autodesk and Trimble products is an assetStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication skillsDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaCanadian Project Management experience in Mechanical or Sheet Metal requiredWorking Environment:This is a full-time, site-based role located in Vancouver.The role includes:Working on active construction sitesRegular coordination with field teamsOffice and computer-based project management workStandard work week is 40 hours, with flexibility required based on project needs.Compensation:Salary: $120,000 $150,0005% RRSP Matching100% Employer-Paid Extended Health & DentalLife InsuranceLong-Term DisabilityEmployee & Family Assistance ProgramPhone AllowanceVehicle AllowanceAbout Rightway Recruitment:Rightway Recruitment is a Vancouver-based recruitment firm specializing in Mechanical and Electrical construction and engineering across British Columbia.
