Job description:Position: Apprentice ElectricianLocation: Hamilton, ONShift & PayShift: Afternoon Shift, Monday to FridayPay Rate: $25 $32 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The Apprentice Electrician will support the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls in a manufacturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while progressing toward full trade certification in a structured industrial setting.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specificationsAssist in installing, examining, replacing, and repairing electrical wiring, conduits, lighting fixtures, and related componentsTest electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, voltage, and resistanceSupport maintenance and repair of motors, switchgear, transformers, and control systemsAssist with troubleshooting industrial electrical systemsMaintain documentation of maintenance activities and work ordersSupport inventory counts of electrical partsComply with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) regulations and safety standardsQualifications & Skills13 years of experience in an industrial or commercial electrical environmentRegistered with Skilled Trades Ontario (STO) as an Apprentice, or actively working toward apprenticeship registrationWorking toward a Certificate of QualificationBasic knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipmentAbility to read electrical drawings and schematicsStrong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learnAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environmentValid drivers license preferredWhy Join Us?Consistent full-time hoursWeekly payOvertime opportunities availableOpportunities for growth and advancementLong-term employment potentialSupportive and collaborative team environment
