Education Assistant (Montessori Elementary Grades 13) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant (EA) to support students in our Montessori Elementary (Grades 13) classroom. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support student learning, independence, and well-being in alignment with Montessori principles. Position Details Role: Education Assistant (Elementary, Grades 13) Hours: 1620 hours per week Wage: Starting at $22 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities Support individual and small groups of students under the direction of the classroom teacher Assist students with academic, social, and emotional needs Implement strategies and accommodations as outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Support self-regulation, independence, and positive behaviour Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Communicate professionally with staff and follow school policies and procedures Required Qualifications Valid EA Certificate POPARD Certification (required) Fluency in spoken and written English Experience working with elementary-aged children Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Preferred Attributes Experience in a Montessori or child-centred learning environment Calm, patient, and flexible approach to student support Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and brief cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience to Kate Baldwin, Head of School at: .
