Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist. The position requires hands-on installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of power distribution and control panels. Its important the hired person is competent in this regard and able to work in the field meaning performing these duties solo. The role supports the design, automation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems across various vessel projects in the marine industry This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design and field service work. What Youll Do Design and integrate marine electrical power and control systems Program and commission PLC-based automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control devices Diagnose electrical and automation issues in workshop and onboard environments Support installations, commissioning, and sea trials Create wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and marine clients What Were Looking For Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Marine Systems, or related field 35+ years of experience in marine electrical systems or industrial automation Knowledge of marine electrical standards (ABS, DNV, Lloyds, etc.) Experience with PLC programming, VFDs, HMIs, and control networks Ability to read and produce electrical schematics (CAD required) Strong troubleshooting and field service experience Valid drivers license + ability to travel to shipyards and vessels Why This Opportunity?
