Location: Richmond, BC, Canada Position: Full Time Wage Range: $150,000 - $180,000 based on experience Job Description The General Manager of Operations (GM Operations) at Aerojet Turbine. (a subsidiary of OReilly Holding Company OHC) will oversee and lead all operational departments, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of projects that support the companys aviation maintenance facility. This executive role integrates operational excellence with strategic business objectives, driving safety, quality, and productivity across all functional areas. The GM Operations will work closely with cross department stakeholders to ensure operational capabilities are aligned with customer commitments and business goals. This role reports to the President, Eagle Copters Ltd. Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Execution Own daily production performance across all engine and component program Deliver against OTD (On-Time Delivery), TAT (Turnaround Time), and margin target Develop and execute capacity plans aligned to sales pipeline Optimize labor utilization, recovery, and productivity Drive shop floor discipline and operational cadence (daily/weekly reviews) Financial & P&L Accountability Own COGS performance and margin improvement initiatives Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and cost control Implement standard costing and labor tracking models Drive working capital efficiency (WIP, inventory turns, A/R support) Lead pricing feedback loops with Commercial People & Leadership Lead and develop Directors, Managers, and Supervisors Build succession plans for critical technical leadership roles Drive performance management and accountability culture Champion training, certification, and skills development Promote engagement and retention of technical talent Production Planning & Throughput Implement and optimize the ERP system Implement SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) Balance workload vs capacity across programs Optimize shop routing, scheduling, and bottleneck removal Improve first-pass yield and rework reduction Drive continuous flow principles Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure regulatory compliance in partnership with Ops Support Director Enforce quality at source culture Champion SMS participation and safety leadership Always ensure audit readiness Actively sponsor safety and quality improvement initiatives Supplier & Supply Chain Enablement Partner with Ops Support on supplier strategy Ensure material availability to support production plans Drive lead time reduction and cost optimization Support strategic supplier negotiations Mitigate supply risk Continuous Improvement & Growth Lead Lean / CI initiatives across operations Support new program launches Prepare facility for capacity expansion Lead capital investment planning Enable M&A integration readiness Candidate Profile: Required Skills Strong leadership and executive management skills with proven ability to oversee multi-disciplinary technical teams. Extensive operational leadership experience within aviation or related manufacturing and service industries. Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, component overhaul, and regulatory compliance frameworks (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA), is preferred but not required. Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational priorities with financial performance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional and customer relationships. Ability to drive change, foster innovation, and lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or services operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP level or equivalent). Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale maintenance, MRO operations, or component overhaul facilities, in aviation or related industries. Proven track record of successfully leading multi-departmental teams and delivering operational excellence. Education Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering or a related technical field required. Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred. Professional certifications (ISO 9001:2015/AS9100/AS9110, PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management) are considered strong assets. Why Work at Aerojet Turbine Reworks Inc?
