We maximize the best of technology, automation, and AI to simplify the complexities of eCommerce through our two products Channel Gate and Freight Club. We partner with vendors and retailers to tackle some of the industrys biggest challenges, offering prescriptive recommendations to optimize their ROI in a competitive market. Our remoteflexible team works to support our partners from the US and Canada. The Role Cymax Group is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to expand our vendor network across furniture and adjacent home categories. This role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, onboarding, and scaling new vendor partners across major marketplaces such as Amazon and Walmart. You will play a critical role in growing our ecosystem by building meaningful partnerships and ensuring new vendors ramp quickly and successfully. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in highoutput environments, enjoys building relationships from scratch, and is motivated by turning conversations into longterm partnerships. This is a hybrid role, based in the Vancouver, BC area. The ideal candidates will work 2 days in the Vancouver office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. What Youll Be Doing Vendor Acquisition & Prospecting Identify and research highpotential vendor partners in furniture and adjacent categories. Generate and qualify new business opportunities using structured outreach and pipeline management. Build longlasting, valuedriven relationships with prospective partners. Clearly articulate Cymaxs value proposition and how our platforms drive scalable growth. Maintain a strong understanding of competitive marketplace dynamics and positioning. Sales Pipeline Management Own the full sales cycle from first contact through signed partnership. Manage and maintain a healthy, organized CRM pipeline with consistent followup. Track outreach performance and optimize prospecting strategies for efficiency and impact. Collaborate with Marketing on category targeting and vendor segmentation strategies. Vendor Qualification & Onboarding Evaluate prospective vendors for operational readiness, catalog strength, and marketplace fit. Guide partners through onboarding, ensuring accurate data capture and timely integration. Partner crossfunctionally with operations, integration, and account management teams to ensure smooth launch. Monitor onboarding timelines and remove friction points to accelerate timetolive. Relationship Management & Growth Act as the primary point of contact for newly onboarded vendors during rampup. Foster strong working relationships built on trust, transparency, and shared growth goals. Identify opportunities to expand assortment, increase participation, and drive longterm ecosystem growth. AI-Enabled Business Development Leverage CRM, automation, and AI tools to improve prospecting efficiency and qualification quality. Use data insights to prioritize outreach and identify highprobability vendor opportunities. Continuously refine workflows to increase acquisition speed and onboarding accuracy. What You Bring 13 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management. Strong relationshipbuilding and networking skills youre comfortable starting conversations and turning them into opportunities. Excellent communication and storytelling ability you can clearly articulate value and tailor your message to different audiences. Strong pipeline management skills and experience using CRM tools. Organized, detailoriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Datadriven mindset with comfort using Excel or similar tools to track performance. Coachable, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fastpaced, performanceoriented environment. Nice to Have Experience in ecommerce, online marketplaces, retail, or adjacent product categories (home, lifestyle, furniture, fitness, pet, etc.). Familiarity with Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Shopify, or other marketplace ecosystems. Experience working with vendor onboarding or supplier partnerships. Exposure to AIenabled tools or automation in sales workflows. Compensation The salary range for this role is between $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.
