We are currently recruiting for a live-in Caregiver to assist a female employer who is a senior amputee with MS (Multiple Sclerosis), with all activities of daily living. She is a quiet individual who enjoys watching the news daily. Abbotsford (near Cedar Springs Trail) Shift & Hours: Live-In 6 days a week Approximately 6 hours of work a day Morning, afternoon and early evening support Opportunity for down time between 12:30pm and 4:30pm a few days a week The employer sleeps between 7:00pm-7:00am Compensation: $150 a day which includes room and board Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): Aspects of personal care such as bed bath, peri care, diaper changing, bowel routine (commode) dressing assistance Medication administration Transfer assistance using a Floor lift Meal prep and eating assistance/monitoring; The employer hopes to prepare meals and eat together Light housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, empty dishwasher, cleaning commode etc. Overnight responsibilities: Employer generally sleeps through the night May need support once or twice on occasions to reposition, etc. Other Job Details: Live-in will have their own bedroom and bathroom with a completely private shower/bathtub Shared kitchen to cook together Parking space available if you have a vehicle Requirements: 1 to 2 years of senior care is an asset Willingness to learn Fully vaccinated If you are interested in this position and meet all the required qualifications, please apply directly to this job posting.
