As a Pension Administrator, youll work closely with colleagues across the Benefits Centre and broader Shared Services team, supporting pensioners, active members, and internal departments. Your Responsibilities Youll respond to pension-related inquiries from plan members, providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance. In this role, youll perform benefit calculations for retirements, terminations, past service purchases, and complex scenarios like commuted values and marriage breakdowns. Youll maintain and update pension records in the administration system, ensuring accurate data for payroll and regulatory reporting. Youll assist with year-end filings, CRA reporting, and preparation of annual statements, supporting smooth operations and compliance. Youll collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve issues and improve the member experience. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience in defined benefit pension administration. Strong knowledge of Canadian pension legislation, DB plan structures, and commuted value processes. Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets. Effective organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing sensitive and confidential information. CEB, CEBS, or PPAC certification (or working toward) is an asset. Experience with third-party pension providers and pension administration systems like PABAS is preferred.
