Tasks: Prepare production and other reports Supervise workers and projects Co-ordinate and schedule activities Train or arrange for training Set up machines and equipment Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Recommend personnel actions Read blueprints and drawings Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Leading/instruct individuals Operate power vibrators to compact concrete Instruct apprentices Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials Supervision: Cement finishers, Working groups, Apprentices, Trades helpers, Labourers. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver''''s licence, Own transportation. Work conditions & physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
