The Clinical Study Unit (CSU) is a strategic function driving end-to-end development of innovative therapies for patients. As part of Sanofis R&D division, CSU leads the evolution of the healthcare environment, partners with investigators and patients, and delivers clinical programs by implementing our medical, digital, and product strategic ambitions. As CSU Country Head, you will lead the organization, management, and strategic direction of clinical operations in your assigned country and satellite countries. This role uniquely blends traditional clinical operations leadership with digital transformation expertise, positioning you as both an operational excellence driver and an innovation catalyst. Youll be responsible for ensuring clinical studies are executed with quality and efficiency while championing the adoption of AI-powered solutions and digital technologies that accelerate study timelines and enhance patient outcomes. Youll represent R&D at the affiliate level, build strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, and shape the future of clinical research in your region. The CSU Country Head contributes to scientific excellence and clinical development strategy by ensuring early alignment between clinical research objectives and healthcare system needs. They engage with medical communities and healthcare stakeholders to articulate the scientific and healthcare value of clinical trials, fostering an environment that supports robust clinical research while maintaining the highest ethical standards and scientific integrity. Main Responsibilities Lead clinical study execution ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency while implementing AI-enhanced processes and digital solutions Drive digital transformation strategy and foster innovation in the countrys clinical research environment Develop investigator networks and site relationships using data-driven insights and predictive analytics Represent R&D at affiliate and participate in cross-functional councils to align clinical development with medical strategy and healthcare needs Engage with healthcare stakeholders to articulate the scientific value of clinical research and build strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem Manage high-performing teams with digital capabilities and oversee budget, resources, and vendor relationships including AI technology providers Contribute to global and regional strategy development while ensuring local implementation excellence and promoting Sanofis commitment to advancing medical science About You +10 years of experience in clinical research leadership with demonstrated success in managing complex clinical operations and driving organizational transformation In-depth knowledge of clinical development processes, Good Clinical Practice, regulatory frameworks, and emerging digital health technologies Advanced skills in strategic leadership, change management, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation Ability to influence and inspire diverse teams, evaluate and implement AI/digital solutions, and balance operational excellence with innovation Languages: Fluent in English and French, written and oral, Bilingualism is required Degree in science or medical specialty (BSc, MSc, MD, PharmD, PhD required) Ability to travel as needed for regional collaboration and stakeholder engagement Why Choose Us?
