Position Overview Torus Talent is supporting a well established Canadian engineering consultancy in their search for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join their Vancouver based mining team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong process engineer with hands on mineral processing experience who enjoys contributing across the full project lifecycle, from early stage studies through detailed design. The role offers exposure to a variety of mining projects across Canada, primarily focused on mineral processing operations. The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering practical, constructible solutions across gold, copper, uranium, lithium and other mineral processing projects. Further Responsibilities Include the Following Contribute to engineering studies including PEA, PFS and Feasibility Study phases Support conceptual design, front end engineering and detailed design activities Interpret metallurgical test work results Develop process flow sheets and process design criteria Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat and material balances and P&IDs Size process equipment and develop technical specifications Complete metallurgical simulations using industry standard software Ensure work aligns with internal procedures, applicable legislation and industry standards Maintain a strong commitment to health and safety standards Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams Travel to project sites as required Ideal Candidate Requirements Bachelors degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline Approximately 6 plus years of relevant mining and mineral processing experience Demonstrated experience working on mineral processing projects in gold, copper, uranium, lithium or similar commodities Strong familiarity with NI 43-101 technical reports and reporting requirements Experience supporting or contributing to NI 43-101 compliant studies Experience with metallurgical simulation software such as MetSim, JKSimMet and or Bruno Some operational experience within a mineral processing plant environment preferred P.Eng. designation preferred, or eligible for registration in British Columbia Ability to sign off as a Qualified Person considered an asset Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment Willingness to travel as required for site visits Why This Firm Established and reputable engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the Canadian mining sector Exposure to a range of study phases and technical challenges Collaborative and technically focused team environment Hybrid work model based out of downtown Vancouver Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities Interested candidates are encouraged to send their resume in word format to this posting or email .
