The work: In this highly visible and trusted role, you will support the General Manager in building a team of talented, highperforming professionals, driven by curiosity and grounded in empathy. The individual will play a key role in shaping our talent acquisition, onboarding, HR policy compliance, learning management, and employee engagement efforts. This position will be responsible for maintaining a structured and supportive HR environment while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer administration. Work with hiring managers to develop role descriptions and competency frameworks. Facilitate seamless onboarding experiences, ensuring new employees are wellintegrated into company culture, policies, and systems. Coordinate background checks, employment contracts, and new hire documentation. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with local employment laws and Octapharmas global standards. Provide guidance to employees and managers on employment policies, workplace conduct, and compliance matters. Ensure employee records and HR documents are up to date and securely stored. Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure training programs are accessible and effective. Coordinate compliance training, technical skillbuilding programs, and leadership development initiatives. Work with managers to identify learning needs and career development pathways for employees. Track and report on training participation and effectiveness. 4. Employee Engagement & Communications Organize employee engagement activities, town halls, and recognition programs to foster a positive work culture. Support internal HR communications, including newsletters, policy updates, and employee surveys. Partner with leadership to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Handle employee feedback mechanisms and work on continuous improvement strategies. 5. Compensation & Benefits Administration Support annual merit increase and bonus review processes, ensuring accurate data submission to management. Assist in benefits administration, including health and wellness programs, pension plans, and leaves of absence. Provide employees with information on benefits, compensation structures, and HR policies. 6. Performance Management & Employee Relations Support managers in goalsetting, performance reviews, and career development discussions. Assist in handling employee relations matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution and performance improvement plans. Maintain HR reporting dashboards to track key workforce metrics, including retention, performance, and training completion. Youll need: Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a related role. Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian labour laws, HR policies, and best practices. Experience administering an LMS or training management system. Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Success Factors and digital HR tools. To excel at communicating ideas and plans (in person and in writing). CHRP or CHRL designation (or working towards it). Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industries. Familiarity with Swiss corporate HR frameworks and global HR compliance. Knowledge of compensation benchmarking and HR analytics.
