Job Title: Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Location: Brampton, Ontario Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $49-$59/hr About The Company A Few Good Lads Ltd. is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing heavy equipment company operating in Ontario. Our client supports large-scale construction and earthworks operations and maintains a modern fleet of heavy equipment. This is a confidential recruitment process. THE OPPORTUNITY Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, efficient, and operational in demanding environments. IDEAL CANDIDATE We would like to hear from you if you: Have proven experience working on heavy construction equipment Have strong experience with excavators, articulated rock trucks, and dozers Possess strong diesel engine diagnostic and repair skills Are confident working independently and as part of a team Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Are safety-focused and detail-oriented Hold a valid driver's license Are able to complete a Criminal Record Check *A valid 310T or 421A certification is considered a strong asset. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, inspections, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment Repair and rebuild diesel engines and related components Diagnose and repair transmission systems Service and rebuild undercarriage systems Diagnose and repair torque converters and powertrain components Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems Perform field service repairs as required Maintain accurate service records and documentation Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Disclaimer: Although Merit Ontario employs artificial intelligence enabled tools to conduct initial application screening based on job-related criteria, decisions about who progresses in the hiring process are always made by people.
