Job Description About the role: The Intermediate Electrical Designer is responsible for supporting the design and development of electrical systems for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role involves preparing design drawings, specifications, and documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical solutions into overall project designs. The designer works under the guidance of senior designers and engineers, assisting with design reviews, contributing to the accuracy and quality of deliverables, participating in project meetings, and helping address design challenges. Additional responsibilities include adhering to departmental design standards, processes, and templates, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Prepare and revise electrical drawings and design packages for small to large-scale projects under the guidance of Electrical engineers. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements. Support electrical engineers with equipment selection, layout development, and electrical design documentation. Assist in the preparation of specifications, schedules, and technical documentation for electrical and control systems. Participate in project and coordination meetings, providing drafting and design input as required. Contribute to the improvement of drafting standards, templates, and drawing quality within the Electrical team. Experience in REVIT and Infrastructure Projects (Airports, Traffic Signals, or Highway lighting) will be considered essential. Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Energy projects. Experience with REVIT and Infrastructure Projects (Airports, Traffic Signals, or Highway lighting) considered essential. Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D REVIT is a requirement. Occasional travel to facilities may be required.
