Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in designing, building, and optimizing our AI capabilities. As part of the Brain team, you will help create and improve software systems that surface critical leads and insights for forensic investigators, ensuring fast, relevant, and accurate results. Youll collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to develop scalable and highperformance solutions for complex digital forensics workflows. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems and contribute to building stateoftheart systems within a growing platform. What Youll Do Work across the stack (serverside application code, client applications, database, cloud infrastructure) Contribute to system performance improvements by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations across multiple areas of the system Own critical system components, working to improve both functionality and user impact Support the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of cloudbased systems Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to build innovative solutions for our platform Take a datadriven approach, working in tight feedback loops to iterate and enhance features What Were Looking For Experience with cloudnative systems and building scalable software solutions Familiar working with one or more major frontend web frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Angular) Familiarity with distributed systems, event processing, cloud infrastructure, and optimizing system performance Strong programming, analytical, and problemsolving skills, with a datadriven mindset Naturally curious and willing to learn. Comfortable in navigating ambiguity and fastchanging environments Ability to work crossfunctionally, communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and collaborate in a team environment Experience writing and maintaining automated test suites at various levels of abstraction 3+ years of experience in software engineering, working on production systems Languages and technologies we use and teach include: C#, Python, and AWS Nice To Have Skills Familiarity with AI technologies (e.g., natural language search, MCP, agentic workflows) Understanding of modern search techniques like graphbased search or retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) Experience or willingness to use AI as part of your development process and workflows Compensation & Benefits The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and jobrelated factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills.
