What Youll Get To Do Serve as the technical lead for machine vision. Develop and optimize 2D and 3D machine vision applications for automated inspection, measurement, guidance, and quality verification across advanced manufacturing and testing systems. Lead the design, configuration, and validation of machine vision systems, including cameras, lenses, lighting, optics, image processing algorithms, positioning and mounting, and supporting hardware. Conduct feasibility studies, proofofconcept, and design of experiments to evaluate vision performance, robustness, and cycletime capability. Develop and maintain application standards, best practices, and documentation for machine vision design, deployment, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the mechanical, controls, robotics and PLC teams to ensure vision requirements are met throughout the design and manufacturing phases. Assist in estimating and process development during the quotation phase to develop machine vision system concepts that ensure customer specifications, lighting constraints, part presentation, and inspection requirements are fully understood and achievable. Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. What We Are Looking For Experience: 3+ years of handson experience with 2D machine vision systems, and/or 3D robotic vision systems, image processing, or automated inspection experience with major machine vision platforms (Cognex, Keyence, HALCON, OpenCV, Fanuc, or equivalent). Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Current or Previous A3 Vision Professional Certification (basic or Advanced) Working knowledge of industrial controls hardware and software Strong understanding of imaging fundamentals: lighting techniques, optics, camera types, sensors, resolution and image acquisition Ability to design and tune vision algorithms for inspection, measurement, pattern recognition, OCR/OCV, defect detection, and robotic guidance Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and system layouts Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. Skills: Strong safety focus, excellent time management, communication and organizational skills, familiarity with rulesbased machine vision algorithms, and deep learning models and with scripting or programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++.
