Description Of The Position In our Philanthropy team, the Associate Director, Philanthropy will identify, build, and manage productive relationships with key stakeholders and donors to secure support for the SickKids Precision Child Health Campaign. They will focus on managing donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities and support Campaign Cabinet members to activate their relationships in support of SickKids. In addition to managing a portfolio of new and existing donors, the Associate Director will provide overall leadership and project management for key hospital priorities within the Campaign, serving as a priority lead and collaborating with other Foundation colleagues to develop opportunities and strategies to engage donors. The Associate Director reports to the Director, Philanthropy. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 100 to 150 major gift donors with the capacity to make a gift of $100,000.00+ Complete donor calls and visits to cultivate, steward, and provide ongoing relationship management to donors Play a key role working with senior volunteers, colleagues (Hospital and Foundation), and researchers to identify individual donor prospects; develop cultivation and solicitation strategies for those prospects Support the development and implementation of major gift fundraising strategies to engage a diverse donor base Engage with and develop targeted fundraising strategies to support The Hospital for Sick Children priorities Collaborate with the Director and Associate Directors, Philanthropy to formulate strategies to grow the major gifts pipeline and effectively engage stakeholders In collaboration with the Director, Philanthropy, support the development and execution of annual business plans and budgets for all fundraising programs Work closely with the appropriate Foundation teams to provide a bestinclass donor experience, including collaboration with gift administration, performance marketing, research and analytics, proposal development, recognition, and stewardship Develop a network of contacts interested in advancing the mission and success of SickKids Foundation and The Hospital for Sick Children Qualifications Bachelors degree, with a focus in fundraising, marketing, sales, or other applicable disciplines 5+ years of progressive experience with a focus on soliciting major gifts Outstanding relationshipbuilding skills including proven success identifying, evaluating, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors at the $100,000.00+ gift level with demonstrated experience closing $1 million+ gifts Demonstrated ability to inspire prospects, donors, and senior volunteers by articulating aspirational goals and institutional priorities, emphasizing the importance of paediatric healthcare in its three facets: clinical, education, and research Gift planning experience would be an asset Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while prioritizing various projects Creative, resourceful, costefficient, and intuitively driven Ability to think strategically and work independently in directing new initiatives or enhancing existing programs Superior verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and storytelling Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365); experience with data management systems; experience with Blackbaud will be considered an asset Total Compensation Package Expected Hiring Salary Range: $99,297.00 $124,121.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $142,739.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate Director, Philanthropy.
