Take a look at a day in the life of our team: Behind the Scenes with our Software Engineers. The Role We''''re looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our growing Engineering team! If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for ensuring quality through handson, manual testing, this role could be a perfect fit. You will play a key role in embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle. While manual testing remains central to the role, youll also have the opportunity to influence automation initiatives, refine QA processes, and mentor others on best practices. Your primary responsibility will be identifying bugs, verifying fixes, and ensuring a highquality product experience for our customers. Location Push is a remotefirst company. You can work from anywhere in Canada, or from our beautiful downtown Vancouver office, whatever works best for you. Job Duties Champion quality assurance and lead the adoption of best practices across the product and engineering teams Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to define effective test strategies and acceptance criteria Plan, design, and execute detailed manual and automated test cases to ensure full coverage of features and user scenarios Build, maintain, and help drive the direction of the test automation framework Mentor test engineers on automation best practices Identify, document, and track defects with clear and actionable reporting Verify fixes, maintain comprehensive regression test suites, and drive continuous improvement of QA processes Conduct exploratory, usability, and edgecase testing to uncover hidden issues Produce detailed test reports and effectively communicate findings and risks to stakeholders Help define, maintain, and improve test environments to mirror production conditions Continuously evaluate and enhance QA workflows, tooling, and team efficiency Why Push? Salary Range: $72,000 - $87,000 CAD annually Requirements 3+ years of experience in software testing or QA, with proven expertise in manual and automated testing and strong analytical skills Experience designing and implementing QA strategies in agile development environments Handson experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field Demonstrated success in elevating QA standards and improving product quality across releases Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing lifecycles Proficiency in exploratory, regression, and smoke testing techniques Experience with crossbrowser, crossplatform, and responsive UI testing Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Familiarity with Jira or other project management and defect tracking tools Familiarity with source control management tools such as Git Bonus Skills and Qualifications Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automated build processes Working knowledge of JavaScript or another highlevel programming language Experience with performance, security, or accessibility testing Experience in startup or fastpaced environments Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms Experience testing mobile applications Experience leading a team of software testers #J-18808-Ljbffr
