Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, F & B, the Food and Beverage Supervisoris responsible foroverseeing Bartenders, Servers, Porters, Hosts andHostesses. The Food and Beverage Supervisormaintainsefficient running of the department bycomplying withthe duties and responsibilities as outlined belowin accordance withall applicable policies, procedures, rules,regulationsand standards. Key Responsibilities: Excellent internal and external customer service skillsare required tobedisplayed at all times Ensure safe and responsible servicerelativeto all aspects of the sale and service of all food and beverage products Ensure employees report to work adhering to company policies and procedures Supervisor employees in a positive manner, reflecting positive leadership qualities Assign tasks and duties accordingly toappropriate employees Conduct performance evaluation and coaching to employees asrequired Maintainpayroll systems including authorizing shifts, calculating bi-weekly time sheets, monitoringattendanceand attendance management program for employees Strong understanding of the cash system policies and procedures and ensure compliance Complete daily reports and documents asrequired Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly and respectfully Provide training to new and existing employees and development opportunities to staff Other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager Ensure compliance with companys health and safety policies and adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act Maintain a safe environment for all employees and report any health and safety contraventions to the Food and Beverage Managerimmediately. Education and Qualification Requirements: Post-Secondary Food Service and Hospitality Education diploma preferred Minimum 3 years practical front of the house Food and Beverage experience working in ahigh-volumemulti-unit establishment or Casino Proven knowledge of food & wine Must have recognized Provincial training in Smart Serve and Responsible Alcohol Management Hotel, Restaurant or Food Service and Hospitality education or specific training in Smart Serve Certified WHMIS Certified Food Safety Training Customer Service oriented background, excellent people skills, and diversity Fully knowledgeable andmaintaincomplete knowledge andcomply withAGCO, OLG, LLBO, and GBH policies and procedures, rules and regulations and Collective Agreement Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-pacedwork environment Ability to prioritize andpossessexcellent time management and organizational skills Able tomaintaina positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team Effective leadership, oral and written communication skills Competence and professionalism Ability to follow andcomply withcompany and departmental policies and procedures Excellent customer service skills tomaintaingood rapport with customers and employees Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Work Environment Considerations Hours are notguaranteedand hours of work will varyin accordance withbusiness and operational demands.
