OverviewPlainsman Mfg. Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated full-time QC Inspector to join our dynamic Quality Control Team in Edmonton, Alberta.Important: Please no phone calls or drop-ins. Only local candidates will be considered.Job DetailsHours: Night Shift (10hr) - Monday-Thursday 2:30pm to 1:00am.Location: 8308 McIntyre Road, Edmonton, AB.About UsPlainsman Mfg. Our in-house engineering department and full-service manufacturing facility enable us to meet and exceed customer and industry expectations.ResponsibilitiesConducting inspections of orders to ensure adherence to the quality standards of Plainsman and our customers.Handling non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective action and preventative action (CAPA) documentation.Scanning material test reports (MTRs) for traceability verification.Monitoring and controlling calibration for all measurement devices and ensuring proper calibration is maintained.Perform and document in-house testing.Applying lean principles to the manufacturing process to enhance quality and minimize waste.Adhering to the Quality Management program and promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.Complying with our Safety program to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.You may be required to perform miscellaneous tasks as requested by your supervisor or manager to support team objectives and maintain operational efficiency.Skills and Experience RequirementsQC training or relevant QC experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Oil & Gas related downhole production and completion tools is an asset.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Proficiency in recordkeeping and management to maintain accurate and organized documentation.Experience in troubleshooting and applying corrective actions using methodologies such as 5 Whys, root cause analysis, DMAIC, etc.Knowledge of quality control principles, with an emphasis on quality at the source.Intermediate proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) functions to manage inventory, work orders and facilitate efficient processes.Application InstructionsTo apply, please submit your resume in PDF format or apply through the online portal.At Plainsman Mfg.
