JOB DESCRIPTION : The Sales Support Agent (SSA) provides operational support to the Sales team, including the SPOC, Business Developers, and Sales Director, by assisting with customer request processing, order followups, operational coordination, and maintaining accurate data in internal systems. In this role, the SSA helps enhance the customer experience, improve the productivity of both Sales and Operations teams, and support the overall efficiency of the branch. The SSA is also responsible for greeting customers, answering calls, and handling certain branch operational tasks in the absence of the CSA to ensure service continuity, while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proactivity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Answer phone calls directed to the Sales team. Ensure followups related to requests originating from the Sales team. Prepare quotes for requests from the Sales team and/or for product categories not covered by the Customer Service Agent (CSA). Check availability and assist with the coordination of demo equipment for the Sales team. Create Rental (SR) quotes for demo equipment for the Sales team. Contact customers regarding pending orders placed by them or by their Sales team. Create new customer contacts/companies and provide accountopening documents to customers (upon request from the Sales team). Act as a liaison between Sales and Operations to ensure customer needs are met. Participate, when required, in continuous improvement of operational processes. Provide additional support to the Sales team as needed. In the absence of the CSA, greet and assist walkin customers, prepare orders for instore customers (picking), prepare quotes for walkin customers, process inbranch payments, create support tickets for walkin customers, process deliveries and receptions of new and rental equipment, prepare outgoing shipments, receive instruments intended for the technical department, contact customers when their repaired equipment is ready for pickup, contribute to inventory management, and participate in inventory counts. QUALIFICATIONS : Education & Experience DVS, Certificate, or Advanced Diploma (Ontario College) in administration, customer service, office administration, sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 35 years of experience in customer service or administrative support within a B2B environment, or 12 years of experience in Sales. Experience with CRM and/or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce or Odoo) strong asset. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience in a technical business environment (distribution, equipment rental, or construction) asset. Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems and understand basic product features and services. Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize in a dynamic, highvolume environment. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive rapport with customers and colleagues. Strong customer service mindset demonstrated through professionalism, empathy, courtesy, and respect. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in the language of the province of employment, with strong listening skills and the ability to ask targeted questions to identify needs. Ability to manage urgent situations calmly and efficiently. Versatile, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable performing occasional manual tasks when required. WORK CONDITIONS : Base salary ranging from $62,000 to $75,000 plus performance bonus; no commissions.
