Job Description

POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME. Reporting to the Communications Strategist, the Marketing Manager executes the communications strategy including but not limited to brand development opportunities, coordinates graphic design and digital assets, moderates social media, follows up on marketing initiatives for AIMA, and provides marketing support for our affiliated businesses, including Shellys Indigenous Bistro. Key Responsibilities AIMA Marketing Implements AIMAs marketing strategies and communication plans. Develops brochures, posters, videos, digital content, and workshop materials. Moderates AIMAs social media presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, website updates). Promotes AIMAs services, programs, training, workshops, & corporate responsibility programs. Produces culturally respectful storytelling and community-focused content. Tracks engagement analytics and adjust strategies as needed. Shellys Indigenous Bistro Marketing Moderates Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube content for the Bistro. Promotes seasonal menus, specials, events, and catering services. Captures and edits food photography and video content for use in digital & print advertising. Maintains an inclusive, positive online presence and monitor engagement. Collaborates with Bistro leadership on marketing calendar planning. General Marketing Drafts content for social media and special events for review and approval by the Communications Specialist. Creates and maintains an up-to-date media hotlist including Indigenous outlets, focused on the North End of Winnipeg. Supports customer and community engagement initiatives. Maintains an email contact list for newsletters, special promotions, etc. Maintains digital assets in shared cloud storage. Creates branding assets such as letterhead, email signature blocks, print designs for business cards, rack cards, agendas, etc. for consistency. Maintains up to date information on the website(s) as needed. Qualifications & Skills Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. 23 years marketing experience (hospitality or small business an asset). Strong social media, digital content creation, and branding skills. Proficiency with Canva, Mailchimp, website tools, and video-editing apps. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset. Work Conditions & Compensation Full-time on-site: Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (based on program needs).
