One (1 ) Temporary Part-time Position (up to 6 month contract) Counsellor LITS 69 hours scheduled in a 6-week period Shifts include 12-hour days and 12-hour nights This is a unionized position MANAGER Clinical Manager SERVICE Live-In Treatment Services (LITS) Rotary House JOB RATE $29.51/per hour Position Summary This is a 12-week live-in treatment program for youth aged 1217, located in Niagara Falls. Youth who attend the program have been identified as experiencing mental health and/or behavioural concerns that impact them individually and within their family unit. The program operates within a team-based environment, providing structured therapeutic programming alongside individualized emotional, mental, and physical support to promote safety, stability, and skill development. Working 12-hour day and night shifts on a 6-week rotation schedule, the Counsellor Live In Treatment Services (LITS) is responsible for monitoring and supporting youth throughout the scheduled shift as required. Responsibilities include supporting youth with therapeutic skills and strategies during periods of emotional difficulty, administering medication, completing nightly checklists, uploading outstanding documentation, conducting room checks, securing the building, and undertaking housekeeping duties as directed. Qualifications Child and Youth Worker Certificate, Social Services Diploma, or equivalent; 2-3 years experience working with children and youth, preferably in a live-in treatment environment; Familiarity with offering services via virtual platforms (i.e. email, text, online counselling) would be considered an asset; If direct virtual supports are unfamiliar then an understanding of the various forms of virtual care, as well as an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities would be an asset; Knowledge and experience in crisis intervention; Good communication and organizational skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills; Current Broad Records Check within one year; Current certification in Emergency First Aid CPR C and AED, Safe Management Training, and Safe Food Handling; Valid Drivers License, able to supply own vehicle and be insurable to drive in Ontario; Meets medical requirements under the CYFSA, Regulations for Licensing of Residences; Bilingual in (French and English) is preferred; Experience working with the Indigenous population is an asset.
