Position Summary Marketing & Business Development Director will be responsible for the business development, implementation, and management strategies for promotion, sales, and tournaments. This position will require CRM management and evaluation of bookings and ROI from executed strategies and campaigns. The preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience in business development and targeted marketing campaigns. Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to development of marketing campaigns, sponsorship and partnership acquisition and promotion, event promotions, press releases, oversight and solicitation of photography business, graphics, printing and website maintenance. The Marketing Director will work closely with the General Manager to forecast and deliver budgetary goals and to deliver leads to the sales team. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the marketing department including, but not limited to, annual strategy development, budget preparation, goal setting and timeline management Lead ABM campaign development and execution in collaboration with the sales team to accomplish sales and revenue goals Tell the stories capturing and effectively marketing the experiential aspect of tournaments, events and activities Develop impactful industry relationships with tourism offices and media contacts Utilize crossmarketing to motivate coaches and team representatives to purchase/utilize all available amenities and programs Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions Accomplish objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities Maintain CRM system to maintain efficient tracking and recordkeeping and to effectively market to teams throughout the country Tactical Skills & Responsibilities Develop digital and print content Manage updates to the company website(s), write and distribute press releases, and manage social media accounts Manage facility presence with industry publications, trade shows, and associations Prepare and present regular reporting on marketing and business development strategy and results Maintain business accounts on a variety of social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and create oncampus social media campaigns Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and spectators to promote facility experiences Oversee all aspects of the photography department, preparation, staff training, equipment use and care, quality of product (photo galleries) provided to customers and excellent customer service Represent the venue at various national, regional and local trade shows, job fairs, community meetings, governmental meetings, etc. Participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations Other duties as assigned by management Collaborate with Companys inhouse marketing agency to organize and execute marketing initiatives Exhibit the values and principles of the company including accountability, collaboration, excellence and service Complete all other duties as assigned by management Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or advertising; or a minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar position Experience managing a marketing and/or business development budget; identifying and creating opportunities or promotions to deliver revenue goals Measure and report marketing/advertising campaign analytics to ultimately measure ROI, efficiency, and effectiveness of campaign activity Manage marketing research to gain consumer insights (locally, regionally, and nationally) to identify key selling points for attracting corporate/organization relationships including sponsorship and financial partnerships, or business development activities Manage corporate website(s) in the WordPress platform, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Use multiple platforms or software for a variety of tasks such as cloud file management or project management Develop content and write with the company voice in mind Entrylevel or beginner knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Illustrator Excellent interpersonal, problemsolving, verbal, and communication skills Must be a team player, deadlinedriven, and available to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) Working Conditions and Physical Demands Due to the nature of the sports facility, the Marketing Director may be expected to work varied hours including holidays and weekends Must be able to lift 40 pounds to waist height May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time both indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend Must be able to work in varying weather conditions Will be required to operate a computer Facility has intermittent noise Salary: $75,000 $90,000 per year Job Posted by ApplicantPro #J-18808-Ljbffr
