What Youll Do Reporting to the ERP Project Manager, the ERP Project HR System Lead is responsible for leading the implementation of the replacement of the Countys Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As part of a boarder implementation team, the Lead HR Systems provides functional expertise throughout all phases of the project, including design, planning, configuration, implementation, testing, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization. Acting as the subject matter expert for Human Resources, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and related modules, the incumbent ensures that business requirements, legislative compliance obligations, collective agreement provisions, and operational processes are accurately translated into system design and functionality. This role provides critical input into the overall system architecture and configuration to ensure the ERP solution meets current operational needs while remaining adaptable to the Countys evolving requirements. With a strong focus on process improvement and user experience, the ERP Project HR System Lead champions streamlined workflows, improved controls, and enhanced self-service capabilities. The incumbent is empowered to make functional decisions within the HR systems domain, leveraging subject matter expertise to guide best-practice solutions and support successful organizational change. Contract Duration: 13 months What Were Looking For Education & Experience Three-year post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field Three years of experience in a Human Resources or HR systems role, preferably in a municipal and unionized environment Experience with ERP or HRIS implementations (e.g., planning, configuration, testing, data migration, go live and post-implementation) Skills & Abilities Demonstrated strong knowledge of design, development, and implementation of systems Experience in data management including report design, producing, and analyzing data and presenting data Experience in compensation, payroll, and benefit management Strong understanding of employment legislation, payroll compliance, and statutory remittances Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally Ability to identify issues and recommend creative and strategic solutions Ability to interpret goals, objectives, and policies Experience working with third-party service providers Experience working in a municipal unionized environment High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment Strong knowledge of applicable employment legislation Project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
