The Role: Chief of Staff We''''re hiring a sharp, resourceful, and relentlessly detail-oriented Chief of Staff to work directly alongside our CEO and Co-Founder. This is the person who makes the machine run owning finance, operations, talent, and compliance so the rest of the company can focus on growth and impact. This is not a title-only role. You''''ll build P&Ls, manage investor updates, set up hiring pipelines, navigate cross-border compliance, and automate everything you can get your hands on. You''''ll replace fragmented processes with systems that actually work and you''''ll do it with the independence and rigor of someone who''''s been trained at the highest level. What You''''ll Do Own the company''''s financial engine build and manage P&Ls, operating forecasts, invoicing systems, and accounts receivable. You''''ll prepare monthly and quarterly investor updates and support fundraising and strategic planning Build and run the talent machine manage recruiting pipelines, coordinate with hiring managers, and ensure every team lead has confidence they can fill critical roles quickly Stand up people operations and HR work with fractional CHROs and HR counsel to build compliant processes across Canada and the U.S., including reading state-level regulations and managing corporate compliance documents Automate relentlessly use AI tools and no-code platforms (N8N, Zapier, Make, Retool) to eliminate manual workflows and build systems that scale Be the CEO''''s strategic partner take a brief conversation, ask the right questions, then go execute at a high level. Prepare board materials, drive quarterly planning, and act as a force multiplier across the company What We''''re Looking For 5+ years in operations, consulting, finance, or startup leadership 2+ years consulting, advisory, or operational leadership at a high-growth startup Proven ability to build financial models, P&Ls, and operating forecasts and get the details right Self-starter who can take a high-level brief and deliver polished, accurate output independently Based in Vancouver, BC (or willing to relocate) Nice-to-Haves Has held a Chief of Staff or senior operational role (e.g., Head of Operations, VP Ops) Experience in corporate finance at a tech startup (FP&A, fundraising, financial reporting) Exposure to investment banking, VC, or PE in any capacity MBA or graduate degree in a relevant field Experience building automations using AI workflows or no-code platforms (N8N, Zapier, Make, Retool) Why This Role Is Different Youll be the CEO''''s right hand reporting directly to the Co-Founder, with visibility into every part of the business and a seat at the table for every major decision Youll build, not maintain this is a greenfield opportunity to create systems from scratch across finance, ops, talent, and compliance Your ceiling is as high as you want it this role has a clear trajectory toward senior leadership.
