All Jobs > Vice President, AI Strategy and Enablement Vice President, AI Strategy and Enablement Fully Remote Description RSI is seeking a handson, businessminded AI leader to create and execute RSIs enterprise AI strategy, reporting directly to the CEO. This role will identify and deliver AIdriven efficiencies across software development, delivery/implementation, and business operations, while establishing pragmatic governance and standards that align with publicsector expectations (security, auditability, and data handling). This leader will be accountable for: Defining RSIs AI vision and roadmap Establishing responsible AI usage guidelines and guardrails Deploying AI tools and workflow redesign that measurably improves throughput, quality, and cost Leading crossfunctional change management to drive real adoptionfrom executives to individual developers and delivery teams The ideal candidate combines executive communication skills with the credibility to work directly with engineers, implementation teams, and operational leaders to redesign how work gets done. Create and maintain a 61224 month AI roadmap across engineering, delivery, and business operations, with clear milestones and measurable outcomes. Establish an ROI model and prioritize initiatives using value, feasibility, risk, and timetoimpact. Assess current product development workflows and identify highleverage AI opportunities. Deploy and operationalize AIassisted development practices: AI pairprogramming, code review augmentation, unit/integration test generation support Refactoring assistance, documentation generation, dependency mapping and impact analysis Secure patterns for using AI with sensitive code and client data constraints Partner with Product Development leadership to accelerate replacement of thirdparty dependencies through AIenabled analysis, prototyping, and migration planning. Define quality gates and governance so AI accelerates delivery without increasing defect risk. Observe endtoend delivery execution (Agile ceremonies, backlog management, user story writing, testing cycles, environment setup, release procedures) and redesign workflows using AI to reduce overhead and improve predictability. Implement AI supports such as: Story refinement and acceptance criteria generation templates Automated meeting notes - action tracking, risk/issue summaries Test planning acceleration and regression prioritization Knowledgebase creation from delivery artifacts and support tickets Improve delivery metrics (cycle time, rework, escaped defects, utilization, ontime milestones) through automation and better information flow. Identify opportunities across operations (Finance, HR, Legal/Compliance, Support, Sales Ops, Customer Success) where AI can reduce manual effort and improve decisionmaking. Build repeatable automation patterns including: Internal copilots / agents for SOPs, policy Q&A, and ticket triage Document processing workflows (requirements, SOWs, change orders, deliverables) KPI dashboards and executive summaries from operational data Acceptable use policy and developer guidance Data classification and safe handling rules Humanintheloop requirements for regulated contexts Partner with Security/IT and compliance stakeholders to ensure AI use aligns with publicsector expectations and RSIs contractual obligations. Serve as a translator between executives and practitioners, ensuring adoption at every level. Deliver training and playbooks tailored to RSI roles (developers, PMs, QA, delivery leads, support). Measure adoption and impact; adjust tooling and guidance based on feedback and performance. Lead AI initiatives as a portfolio: define charters, success metrics, delivery plans, resourcing needs, and risk mitigation. Communicate progress to the CEO and leadership team via monthly executive reporting, including ROI realized and nextquarter priorities. Manage vendors/partners where appropriate; negotiate pilots and ensure value realization. Required Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience spanning technology leadership, digital transformation, or engineering productivity Experience implementing AI in public sector and/or highly regulated environments Proven experience implementing AI/automation initiatives that delivered measurable ROI (not just prototypes). Strong fluency in modern software development lifecycles; ability to work credibly with developers and architects. Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize governance/guardrails for AI use, including data risk management. Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes. Track record of leading crossfunctional change initiatives: adoption, training, and sustained process improvement. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree (MBA, MSCS, or related) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience in GovTech, tax, and/or finance systems Familiarity with Microsoft (.NET) ecosystems, enterprise integration patterns, and modernization strategies. Experience introducing developer tooling and best practices (CI/CD, test automation, SDLC optimization). Experience with Agile transformation, delivery operations, and professional services models.
