The Opportunity Thrive Health is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure & IT Specialist responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing high-quality cloud computing infrastructure while managing internal IT operations. Working closely with the product development team, you will support the architectural vision for our SaaS applications, deploying them on secure, scalable, and resilient cloud foundations. Additionally, this role ensures seamless day-to-day IT operations by managing user access, endpoint devices, and technical support. The Specialist will translate business needs into technical implementations, migrate and modernize workloads, and ensure both our cloud environment and internal systems are secure, efficient, and compliant. Remote-first | Based in Vancouver or Kelowna Focus on building AWS cloud infrastructure, IaC, internal IT operations Responsibilities Build and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS cloud infrastructure; Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) (Terraform) and reusable modules to streamline deployment, and ensure consistency across environments; Deploy and manage containerized solutions using AWS ECS, and implement strategies for service discovery, load balancing, and auto-scaling; Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, TeamCity); Implement comprehensive security controls (network security, data encryption, AIM) and ensure compliance; Configure application logging, monitoring, and alerting (CloudWatch) to meet SLAs and SLOs; Monitor AWS utilization and spend, implementing changes to optimize costs; Provide operational support and guidance to other engineers to ensure production-ready code. Internal IT Operations (20% Focus) Provision and manage user access across internal systems and third-party SaaS platforms; Administer Mosyle MDM and ABM for company-issued devices, managing security configurations, software deployments, and compliance policies across devices; Manage internal IT infrastructure including VPNs, SSO configurations, and authentication systems; Implement and monitor security controls for endpoints and user access. Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a Cloud Infrastructure or similar role; Strong proficiency with the Amazon AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, RDS, ALB, ECS, KMS, IAM, Lambda, Code Build, Code Deploy, Route53, CloudTrail, etc); Proven experience building cloud-native architectures, including microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns; Familiarity with building and deploying Docker containers, especially with ECS; Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform or Cloud Formation; Familiarity with cloud computing best practices; Experience with Google Workspace administration; Familiarity with Mosyle MDM and Apple Business Manager; Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (preferred). Salary Information The base salary range for this role is $94,000100,000/year. The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
