For more information, visit reginafoodbanks.ca. Position Overview The Chief Executive Officer is the senior leader, chief strategist, and primary public representative of the Regina Food Bank. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for translating the Boards vision into sustainable organizational strategy and measurable community impact. The CEO leads an organization that extends beyond food distribution into systems change, community partnership, innovation, and evidence based service delivery. This role ensures services are dignity centered, culturally appropriate, data informed and designed to support long term food security outcomes. Working in close partnership with a collaborative and engaged Board, the CEO provides transparent reporting, strategic insight, and effective risk oversight, while empowering the leadership team to manage day to day operations. The Board is seeking a leader who will build on the organizations strong foundation and help shape its next phase of impact. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Impact Leadership Provide clear, future focused leadership aligned with the strategic plan and evolving community needs. Balance immediate food access demands with long term sustainability and systems level impact. Advance dignified, choice based food access models that promote inclusion and well being. Use community data, client insights, and measurable outcomes to guide planning and decisions. Strengthen partnerships and advocacy efforts that reduce structural barriers to food security. Ensure organizational resilience through diversified revenue, strong risk management, and future focused infrastructure planning. Enterprise Leadership and Culture Lead and develop a high performing senior leadership team. Foster a values driven culture rooted in trust, inclusivity, empowerment, ingenuity, and resiliency. Support leadership development, succession planning, and continuous learning. Create a healthy, collaborative, and mission aligned workplace for employees and volunteers. Leverage volunteer engagement as a strategic asset and source of community connection. Advocacy, Partnerships, and External Relations Serve as the primary spokesperson and public face of the Regina Food Bank. Build and sustain strong relationships with governments at all levels. Engage meaningfully with Indigenous leadership and communities. Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare, education, housing, and social service partners. Strengthen relationships with agricultural, food sector, corporate, and philanthropic partners. Represent the organization provincially and nationally, contributing to sector leadership. Organizational Resilience, Innovation, and Risk Lead a diversified resource development strategy across donors, grants, partnerships, food sourcing, and innovative revenue opportunities. Steward financial resources, reserves, and long term sustainability in a primarily donor funded environment. Provide strategic oversight of food volumes, supply chain integrity, and inventory systems handling large scale food donations. Advance technology enabled, multi channel service delivery and data driven decision making. Identify and mitigate emerging risks related to funding, supply chain, climate impacts, and community needs. Strategic systems leadership grounded in equity, dignity, and evidence. Strong enterprise and financial acumen, including fundraising and revenue diversification. Proven partnership building and advocacy capability. Innovation and technology enablement. Inclusive talent and culture stewardship. High integrity, accountability, and effective communication. Comfortable public presence with authentic, quiet charisma. Qualifications and Experience Education and Background Undergraduate degree in business, public administration, social policy, community development, health sciences, leadership, or a related field. Senior leadership experience in nonprofit or charitable organizations is preferred, though leaders from other sectors with strong community involvement or board experience will be considered. Relevant backgrounds may include social services, public health, poverty reduction, public sector leadership, logistics or distribution, philanthropy, social enterprise, or systems change initiatives. Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for strategy, people, and financial oversight. Demonstrated success leading organizational growth and transformational change. Proven experience working with a volunteer Board in shared governance and strategic planning. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a values based environment. Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, equity, psychological safety, and dignity centered service. Experience engaging with Indigenous communities is strongly valued. Resource Development and Community Engagement Proven success securing significant financial and in kind resources. Strong donor and partner stewardship supported by clear impact reporting. Experience in community advocacy, policy engagement, or systems navigation. Strong relationship building skills across diverse stakeholder groups. Work Environment and Compensation Salary range of $ $126,670 - $211,110 commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Full time position with a flexible work environment. Minimal travel required within Canada.
