ROLE OVERVIEW We''''''''re hiring an experienced and highly accomplished Tour Director to lead the FIFA Canada Celebrates Tour, a national, multi-city touring program across Canada. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the road and can confidently carry a large-scale tour from first load-in to final load-out. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in live event production, national touring logistics, technical oversight, and crew leadership. Our Tour Director will serve as the primary on-site lead, overseeing end-to-end production, vendor coordination, municipal compliance, community relations, and client partnership. This role requires a calm, solutions-oriented operator who performs exceptionally under pressure and leads with clarity, accountability, and professionalism. RESPONSIBILITIES National Tour & Production Leadership Lead and manage all aspects of a multi-city national tour from pre-production through final load-out Oversee end-to-end asset production, installation, maintenance, repair, and strike Manage builds across diverse environments including streets, parks, parking lots, and other public spaces Supervise technical production elements including AV, staging, power distribution, LED integration, and technical rehearsals Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient site operations at every stop Logistics & Operations Manage tour logistics including crew travel, freight, trucking schedules, and technical equipment coordination Oversee load-in/load-out timelines and on-site execution Ensure proper asset handling, storage, transportation, and maintenance Confidently and safely operate equipment as needed, including forklifts Maintain operational continuity across all markets Manage vendors across staging, freight, AV, staffing, and local production support Liaise with municipal authorities Maintain strong relationships with community partners and local stakeholders Lead large core touring teams and oversee local crews in each market Recruit, train, and implement clear policies and procedures for consistent execution Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence Maintain composure and inspire confidence in high-pressure situations Act as the central decision-maker and escalation point on-site Client & Agency Partnership Represent Salt XC with professionalism and authority Anticipate challenges and resolve issues before they escalate EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 10+ years of experience in live events and national touring programs Proven success managing complex, multi-city touring productions Strong production background including AV, staging, power distribution, LED systems, and technical rehearsals Experience executing builds in varied and high-traffic public environments Knowledge of municipal permitting, safety standards, and compliance regulations Demonstrated expertise in vendor management across multiple production disciplines Exceptional people leadership skills with experience managing large teams and local crews Calm under pressure with a proactive, solution-oriented firefighter mindset Strong operational discipline paired with strategic, big-picture thinking Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability Comfortable operating forklifts and supporting hands-on site operations Strong communication skills and confident executive presence REQUIREMENTS Ability to travel extensively across Canada for the duration of the contract Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules Ability to perform physical production duties, including equipment handling Adherence to all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations Valid drivers license SALT XC OFFERS Competitive company compensation and benefits package Dynamic work environment and support of a growing creative agency with a start-up culture Flat corporate structure.
