We are seeking an experienced Director of Security and Operations, Risk Advisor and Security Provider to UHNW to support an ultra-high-net-worth family through proactive risk management and close personal protection. This role requires a highly discreet, service-oriented professional capable of safeguarding the family across primary and secondary residences, international travel, private aviation, yacht operations, and lifestyle engagements. The successful candidate will anticipate evolving risks and implement practical, unobtrusive security strategies that protect without disrupting daily life. The primary work location is in the northern part of Vancouver Island. Key Responsibilities Executive & Close Protection Provide close personal protection in residential, travel, and event environments (private and commercial aviation). Adjust protection posture dynamically based on threat assessments and situational developments. Maintain a polished, low-profile presence aligned with private household standards. Conduct risk assessments across residences, travel destinations, yachts, and aviation operations. Develop mitigation strategies, security protocols, and contingency plans. Monitor global and regional developments that may impact family safety. Travel, Aviation & Maritime Security Support advance travel planning, route analysis, and destination risk reviews. Coordinate with aviation crews, FBOs, yacht captains, and maritime teams. Ensure cohesive security operations across multiple properties and locations. Advisory & Coordination Provide practical safety awareness guidance to family members. Liaise with vetted vendors, security providers, and relevant authorities when required. Serve as a trusted advisor to the family and family office. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in protective services, military, law enforcement, intelligence, or private security. Proven executive protection experience, ideally supporting HNW/UHNW principals. International operational experience. Strong expertise in threat assessment, travel security, and residential security systems. High level of discretion, professionalism, and situational awareness.
