The Licensed Industrial Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and industrial equipment used in a highly automated Hilton Foods production facility. This position ensures production reliability, equipment safety, and reliable operations of food processing and packaging lines.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and parts requirements.Install, align, dismantle, and repair machinery such as pumps, conveyors, mixers, grinders, slicers etc. Inspect and examine machinery to detect and investigate malfunctions to improve production yield.Use specialized tools such as welders, hydraulic bolters, and cutting equipment as per job requirement.Provide support in troubleshooting mechanical control systems in conjunction with electrician, automation technician etc. Perform predictive maintenance using techniques such as vibration analysis and precision measurements.Ensure compliance with workplace safety, foodsafety standards, and environmental regulations. Complete preventative maintenance and corrective work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks safely as per the job requirement.Follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain safe work practices.KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSCompletion of secondary school required. Completion of secondary school is required.Completion of a 4-year Industrial Mechanic Millwright apprenticeship. Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license (433A)35 years of industrial or manufacturing millwright experience preferred, food manufacturing experience is an asset.Experience with conveyors, pumps, packaging machinery, and sanitary equipment preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
