Location: 24 Colonnade Road, Ottawa ONSchedule: Daytime, Monday to FridayStarting Salary: $64,661/ yearCommissionaires Ottawa is seeking a Quartermaster (Logistics & Supply Operations Manager) to oversee the organizations uniform and equipment program supporting approximately 3,600 operational personnel.This role leads logistics, supply, and inventory operations end-to-end including procurement, asset control, distribution, and replacement, ensuring personnel are properly equipped to meet operational requirements.The position is well suited to individuals with experience in structured logistics or supply environments, including those transitioning from military logistics, supply, or equipment management roles, as well as civilian professionals with comparable operational responsibility.The Quartermaster provides hands-on leadership, supervises a small team, and maintains clear standards, controls, and service expectations.What you will be doingManage the full lifecycle of uniforms and related equipment, including procurement, storage, issuance, recovery, replacement, and disposalMaintain accurate inventory control systems, conduct regular counts and reconciliations, and implement controls to minimize loss or misuseForecast inventory requirements based on operational demand, workforce changes, and historical usageCoordinate purchasing activities within delegated authority, including vendor sourcing, purchase orders, and invoice verificationDevelop and maintain specifications, standards, and guidelines for uniforms and managed equipmentOversee uniform distribution and service operations, including point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and issue resolutionProvide direction, set priorities, and support the daily work of operational support staff, temporary employees, and studentsAdvise internal stakeholders on program changes, costs, timelines, and operational impactsSupport special events or operational surges requiring coordinated outfitting and logistics supportWhats in it for you?Work for a reputable and nationally known companyWork in a challenging and rewarding work environmentEmployer paid professional developmentA comprehensive benefits packageGenerous paid time off, holidays and sick daysRetirement plans with company matching of employee contributionsEmployee discount programs, social outings and holiday gatheringsFree Parking on-siteCandidates with Canadian Armed Forces experience in logistics, supply, or equipment management will be given priority consideration.Youre a good fit if you haveHave experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory, stores, or equipment managementAre comfortable working in structured, compliance-driven environmentsBalance hands-on operational work with supervisory responsibilityMake practical decisions that support service delivery, accountability, and cost controlCommunicate clearly with frontline personnel, vendors, and internal teamsYour must-haves:Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
